2014-2015 School Year
Before the official start of the school year, seven of our members worked the York County's Countdown to Kindergarten. These seven girls gave up a part of their summer to pass out books and work in the Children's Museum downtown!
2013-2014 School Year
On April 5 our club rose before the sun, to be at Carowinds at 5:45a.m. to volunteer for the Juvenile Diabetes Reasearch Foundation's walk for a cure. These troopers passed out hundreds of water bottles and were energetic and enthusiastic as they cheered the participants on!
We danced, for twelve hours, and then promptly dropped in exhaustion.
On March 8, 11 of our members ventured to Myrtle Beach, raising $1100 for CIRC, and danced from 11a.m. until 11p.m.

February 22 was a busy day for the Junior Civitans; seven of our members made the polar plunge into the freezing cold Lake Wylie. Each member had to raise $50 to participate, which went towards the Special Olympics!
On February 22, six of our members spent the morning helping the Heart2Heart Foundation with their second annual Mall Walk, raising awareness about Heart Disease.
On February 1, three of our members made the trek to Columbia to the District's Winter Project. The girls delivered the laundry detergents and towels that we collected for Animals Inc., a no-kill shelter in Columbia, and met with other Junior Civitans from around the state!
A group of our members, dubbed the "Van Team" worked diligently for two nights after school on decorations for the float for the Christmasville Parade for the Adult Special Needs "High 5 Club"
November 15 - 17, four of our officers participated in FunFest in Charleston. The girls spent two nights in Charleston, bonding with Junior Civitans from around South Carolina, while raising money for the Civitan International Research Center!
After every football game, there's a rush onto the field to congratulate the players on their win, and briefly after everyone leaves. Well almost everyone. Around 50 of our members took part in helping out with Stadium Clean Up this year. With 11 home games, our members worked tirelessly in the rain and incredible weather conditions to clean up the District 3 Stadium!
After last year's loss to the Environmental Science Club, we won back the title of "Homecoming Banner Contest Winner". About 10 of our members worked during their lunches and after school to finish our winning banner!
Trick-or-Can did amazing as always, and in just one night we collected 883 cans to kick-start our annual Thanksgiving Can Drive!
After Rush Week, where we collected around 600 canned goods, 400 books, made 150 teacher appreciation bags and raised $2,285 for Breast Cancer Research, it came time to induct our new members!
We also recognized our nine officers, and South Carolina Junior Civitan Officers Sean Blanton and Amanda Crayne travelled from Newberry to be at the ceremony. Also attending were some of the Rock Hill Civitans, our sponsoring club.

At September 27th's meeting, Nurse Van Gelder spoke to us about her battle with Breast Cancer. It was our honor to tell her that during Rush Week our members raised $2,285 for Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
During Rush Week our members donated nearly 400 children's books to Rock Hill's Pilgrim's Inn.
In September, half of our Officer Board was able to attend C.O.A.T. (Civitan Officer and Advisor Training) at Lakewood High School in Sumter.
In early September, three of our officers were able to have dinner with the Civitans!
Club Junior-Senior Coordinator, Kurestin Miller, received a $1,000 grant to beautify the A-Building Courtyard! She worked over the summer, and on two Saturdays at the beginning of the school year with the help of our club members to finish the project!
